This adapter allows you to get improved network speeds on any laptop or on a desktop without having to install a new network card. It features 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet speeds and is backwards compatible with 10/100 Mbps connections. The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface means that the USB port will not slow down your Gigabit Ethernet speed.
The adapter draws all the power it needs from the USB port it is plugged into and therefore needs no external power supply or source. It also contains all the drivers it needs for Plug & Play installation on Windows® (XP, Vista®, 7, and 8), Mac® OS, Linux, and Android™ systems. The USB 3.0 connector head features a slim design so that it won't block other adjacent or stacked ports.
